Don’t let me hold you back, keep letting those true colors come through. Lots of insecurity, pettiness, cynicism, and selfishness in that short soliloquy.

I hope you never use any transportation that burns products we drill for, or use anything that those products are made of. You sound like those id–ts that are trying to cancel everyone out because they have an opinion different than yours. Hypocrites like you seem to be all over the place these days. I hope Mush gets that rocket transportation going in mass soon. Maybe we can send people like you up to never return. I think this whole govt thing is good because it is driving up prices and we will just pump as much as we can to get the cash while we can.
Nothing has changed long term?! Talk about head in the sand. Car companies are committing to no internal combustion engine cara in the next decade, the whole world is talking about getting off of fossil fuels in a meaningful way, and there is a growing consensus that oil companies should be held to account for knowingly supplying a product that has brought about the most significant existential crisis to humans in millennia.
The whole industry is still down. Oil stocks are all being held back by the new admin. They have all but put a target on our back as a bad investment. The assault on the oil and gas business started day one from the new admin.

No profits in 2020... correction
Exxon had no profits in 2021. Exxon still paid their dividend. As did most oil and gas companies. Although some (RDS) did cut their dividend.
To the poster who commented about the $0.01 divd...
Keep in mind, divds are ONLY paid from profits. No profits= no divd.
An old saw on Wall Street is "profits are the Mother's MIlk of stocks".
Divds are one use of profits. (Other uses are Capex, acquisitions). But if there are no earnings, then divds are not possible.
Profitability is the responsibility of a corporate executive team and the BOD.
No profitability for an established company means the execs and BOD are incompetent.
Welcome to OXY.

Almost no dividend is a big thing also. This time last year OXY was paying 0.11 cents per share. Now 0.01 cents per share.
All oil companies are down from their pre-Covid prices.
YEP. Oxy's Andarko acquisition just counters all the work the marketing they are doing on their carbon capture. It's just a lackluster stock performance. It would take some reddit speculators to make Oxy's stock attractive.
Do you know what else hasn't changed? You holding onto this "dead money" stock instead of liquidating and reinvesting the proceeds in other companies in growth-oriented industries.
Every day you delay is a day you miss getting your money back.
