Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

What is up with GSSO

The only somewhat growth is security. Is Cisco trying to destroy their security sales business also by putting in a person with no previous sales leadership but only engineering experience but not even security experience, who was recently the VP of GSSO Engineering. Then this person hires a VP for GSSO Engineering that has no security experience.

They brought in MM and AB to screw up CX so anything is possible now as far as ignorant decisions and figuring out how to screw things up worse. Those two and Chuck need to go.

We had a forestry major as our CTO for a decade, what other surprise do you expect?

He was better than all engineering CTOs in CSCO's history except for Ed Kozel.

LOL, as if your major is somehow relevant beyond the first year or two after college.

Expect security sales to continue to worsen and be below the security competition. The security competition is eating our lunch. SB’s calls are always about her and how she has broken thru the glass ceiling. This is not leadership.

If he's surrounded by good advisors and a proven track record of delivering good software on time, does his background matter?

Only at Cisco would putting engineers in leadership roles of a technology company be criticized.
