Ask your managers how long we have, ask them what corporate is telling them and post what they tell you here. Has anyone seen the emails from regional managers and corporate?

That’s funny that you say that. I was let go of months ago. Found another job right away. Paid a little less but it was a little more stable than Barnes & Noble. One of my old department managers came in and applied. They asked me what I thought of them. They had heard that managers at Barnes & Noble we’re notVery good. I told them that they did not want to hire anyone from Barnes & Noble management.
Most managers get off on acting “managerial”
Becomes some kind of weird power trip for them. But you’ll all be out of a job at the same time. And when he tells them he managed to Barnes and Noble store. They won’t give him the time of day.

I am the Down with Daunt, BN, Riggio guy. I 100% guarantee that I no longer work for BN. But I did work for them long enough to develop a wish for their demise. I have never been treated with such contempt at any job.

You managers are a disgrace and shouldn't act the way you do in any setting, and the petty people with nothing better to do but pretend to be other people to cause trouble are a disgrace and should've been fired long ago with these managers!
The person who claims to know who people are does not know sh–! They keep alluding to the fact that they are gathering information for a lawsuit, hint, they aren't. People do not announce they are going to sue someone, they just do it. They are just a shallow lonely person that is so desperate to keep BN alive. Down it BN, Daunt, RIggio.

I’m not saying the managers he is calling out, we’re great, but he is purposely trying to make it seem a current employee is posting this stuff, which is vindictive and nasty.

Why would anyone reference a store if it the stories weren't true. Everyone in my store knows exactly how the nasty management works. And our manager has been a nosey, back-stabbing manipulative biatch since she started at her previous store. She was so bad in fact, she even had a huge fight with her old SM and the SM wouldn't talk to her for months. Our whole store laughed about it!!
Suppose you'll say these are more lies too- haha!

Are all of you guys new here? Posts that contain identifiers have always been deleted, it's in the site's rules. They leave those that are considered public figures, like the ELT. Don't name names, don't give a location with a title so it's easily figured out who the person is, and you won't see your posts deleted. It's that simple. But if you feel better thinking there's a big conspiracy taking place, you do you buddy.

What is up with this site. This is exactly what is happening. Someone reported that they've read the emails from the regional manager and they had the post deleted!!
This is hilarious. They deserve everything they get. The manager I called was very scared that I even mentioned this website, she even hung up on me!
Please don’t be surprised if this thread gets deleted! Last evening, someone posted about awful managers in most locations. I checked on the thread this morning & it’s GONE.
BN doesn’t want employees—former or current—speaking the truth. It’s not like we all don’t know what’s going on. They just don’t want it to get to the wider public & they want to control who knows what & when they know it.
Good luck with transparency from managers. There may be a few honest ones, but that’s it.
