Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Almost 40 years to the day...

We closed up shop yesterday after almost 40 years to the day. Before this garbage heap of a company took us over we used to be a very profitable store for many years on end.

Now nothing is left but dust and memories. Such a shame. There is no reason this store couldn't have survived in this area - except Macy's did everything they could to run us into the ground. Literally starved us of merchandise when our customers were begging for it; never bothered upgrading anything no matter how bad it looked; etc.

Rumors are swirling fast and furious now that Dillard's is set to buy this building and open up a new store. I have no doubt they will do very well in this market.

I thought this was the El Cajon Store here in San Diego, but Dillard's is not in our market. Sad to hear, no matter what location. Wishing you luck....
