Well it is noon on Friday and we still do not have our schedule posted for the next week.....does anyone else have this problem in their store? Also we are being scheduled 6 hours with no break.....and if we put up a “Register Closed” sign to go to the restroom, most likely we are paged several times to return........I want to know if these behaviors are the new normal for Belk? Is this corporate policy? Thinking a call to Corporate HR to ask these very questions......does this happen at your store?

Oh yeah, they probably never considered that. You're right, no grown adult should be making that much (hello higher minimum wage), but getting another steady well paying job isn't as simple as typing a response in a reply box. You're competing against many other people who want to make more money too, and may have more skills and experience. You don't know what the associate who responded is doing to make a higher wage.

I’m a full time employee and honestly it’s quite sad that belk requires us to have OPEN availability. But will only schedule us for 32 hours a week. This makes it impossible to work another job, because we don’t have a set schedule.
I have never “hated” this company or wished it bad. However the way we are treated is absolute disgusting. I just got told that I will be getting a 2% raise which equals... $.22 cents.
Yes! I worked a 6 hr shift in returns with no break even for a bathroom visit. Also I was the only register open except for cosmetics. Customers are not coming back and I don't blame them. We are only robots with blood in the eyes of our new overlords. My state is a right to work state which in reality means they can work us like the serfs and get away with it.
