Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

Cenovus/Husky

I don’t work for the company but live in fear of lays offs as well. The company I work for went through a large round early in 2020. Tumour is more to come. Just wondering if it was only Cenovus Employees or were Husky people let go too?

The point of this site from what I can tell:

  1. It is an anonymous way for our mgmt to know what their staff think of them. They’re a$$holes.
  2. It allows staff to call out mgmt lies and hypocritical nature which are common place.
  3. It lets mgmt know we no longer believe them or buy their lies.
  4. It’s a release valve to let people commensurate on the never ending layoffs and mental abuse we are subjected to by our mgmt.

But yeah other than that it’s pretty pointless

What is the point of this site .

Yes there is layoffs good people from all sides are now jobless my friends and colleagues alike.

I shouldn't have to explain the birds and the bees to grown men and women.
If companies don't adapt and change to the times they just become a cuationary tale of failure and the Impact is far greater.

We also when let go must adapt and change let go and carry on or else just become obsolete.

So instead of fueling this site of Internet trolls who get some kind of voyeuristic pleasure from your misfortune.

Close your eyes take a breath put one foot in front of the other and move on life is short don't let this set back define you.

I wish all the Husky management was let go. If I wanted to work for husky I would have applied over there. The husky employees seem nice but management seem like t–ds.

More Cenovus staff getting let go than Husky staff between Foster/Christina and Tucker/Sunrise. But bigger plants and more people so that could be why.

From the Husky perspective, Husky people seem to be quite over-represented. This is obviously partly because of the differential in company size but it feels like there are other factors.
