Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Walmart vs. Costco

I apologize in advance because my question is very personal, that is, it concerns only me and not the problems of all of us.
Namely, I have the option to move to work at Costco. I asked some people who work there what the working conditions are like, but I would like someone who has experience working in both companies to compare the atmosphere. I hesitate because I wouldn’t want to make a mistake and get into an even worse atmosphere.

Go to Costco for sure. Good pay and benefits and they treat their employees good and with respect they value their employees until Walmart/Sams

Pretty sure Costco is closed on most holidays.

Costco is one of the very best big box stores to work for. They mostly hire part timers, but benefits are offered to all. Great company!

I worked at Costco before Walmart they only kept temps and then let you go. They said we will keep you in mind for the spring time. Yeah, no. I need a ft steady job not a seasonal one. So make sure you would be permanent not just a temp. Employees at the store I worked at seemed conceded and stuck up, like they were better than you. But that’s just my experience from when I worked there.
