Is it just me or are others tired of the double talk from Bass Pro? Johnny waves the American flag yet so much product branded as Bass Pro is NOT made in U S A, rather made in China!!! Johnny preaches family yet we all have to work on Easter Sunday and Thanksgiving Day. I contend that if Johnny could find a way to cater to non Christians, he would be open for business on Christmas Day. Anyone else notice, after Johnny bought Cabela's, how much Cabela's stuff replaced Bass Pro stuff, especially in fishing? Johnny donates millions to conservation; how about making donations to his employees especially the full timers with some service time invested? If Johnny had to pay for the cumulative knowledge of the employees just in his hunting and fishing departments, he could not afford it. Johnny preaches conservation and pats himself in the back every time he tosses a few million that way; and he has to because if it was not for conservation efforts, there would be no reason for people to buy his stuff. It's a vicious circle that way. Either Johnny does not know what is really going on at his stores or he has turned a blind eye and does not care to know as long as he is making money??? The hypocrisy is out of control.

It does not occur to anyone that we have it really good in the USA vs. most of the world. All this cheap imported stuff ends up in landfills. Look at the customers happily filling their carts with all this cheaply made junk. Think about how they would whine if they had to pay the going rate for made in USA gear.
Nothing new here. It is THE American way. Consumerism has become the overall Deity of the masses; they do not care where the merchandise is manufactured, nor if it required slave labor. As long as the price is low. And billionaires just do what they’ve always done.. exploit any and all resources, including people, to their advantage. Money is the only thing that matters. And the sobering thing is, most of us are just like this. Just that billionaires do it on a much larger scale.
He certainly is saving on all the payroll he could be using to hire AP. Our store is losing the equivalent of 40 full time employee pay a year in theft. If we could get 5 undercover shoppers to go after the theft, we would save a lot of lost revenue. The message we get is that corporate does not care how bad theft has gotten.
Gotta get that product made cheaply in China to save money that can be used to fund a vanity Nascar team.
What type of activity do you expect from a billionaire? let me give you some insight=when you make a billion dollars personally it is at the expense of many, many other people; this occurs by cutting corners, making shady deals, making money your god and undercutting anyone who stands in your way. Put simply=bye, bye soul.
