Worked at First American over 40 years and still do but on furlough used to be a nice place to work but now they don’t care about quality of work. A lot of work is done overseas including reading and typing many errors which haven’t hit claims. They have no training for underwriters and to be honest I don’t think California the home corporate office cares. They are cutting people with great experience to save money and hire people with no Title experience and low salary. Since they are letting go experience to hire I experience this company will go down the tubes. Glad I worked for them when they actually cared about the client. When they say they have the experience it’s a lie most of the experienced workers are mid age and are being let go to hire inexperienced people. Problem is there will be nobody to train them. Do not work for this company all they care about is saving money. Claims will be raising on every level. Sad very it used to be a great company wiyh opportunity ! Now they don’t care about quality or their client. Unfortunately I am still working here but I probably will be fired soon because I have too much experience. They are only interested in low level entry employees so they can pay them garbage. Client do not order your title searches from here and if you are looking for a job stay away because first american title is in the toilet . I can still speak this I am an employee still with over 40 years. This company had gone downhill nobody knows what they are doing

You don’t want to work in this company. Look at the prior post. Bad reputation. Leadership is a joke. New people come, they try, but leave. Nothing changes. Good people go, sh---y ones stay. I left last year and what a move and so much happier.

Working at FirstAM is horrible... the job market is turning and I am ready to lead this horrible place! People are id–ts (not the line workers but management)! I am dropping resumes and can’t wait to just leave with no notice! If you can work some where else do so and stay away from this place at all cost!

Last tech problem lead to big layoffs in the Santa Ana campus.... This doesn’t look good - especially bc FirstAM likes to layoff anyways
