Don't blame all this on Macy's. Major manufacturers are behund production by six months or more, still blaming COVID. When you can't get a Purple Mattress ordered and delivered, that's not Macy's fault.

In tampa they sold the furniture gallery and the distribution center to a real estate developer
They are now renting the location back from the real estate company.
They are also adding furniture to the local stores.

It's sad that during the pandemic when every customer is looking to upgrade their homes since they couldn't travel or do things outside the home our BT organization falls flat on its face. We used to have million dollar sales people in the furniture store but now we can't get merchandise to order and they few pieces that we do write can't be delivered on time.

Our logistics organization is putting the last nails in the coffin of our furniture business, the merchandise team built the coffin as orders when they are available in the system now show delivery days in September or later. Who wants to order furniture with a six month lead time. We are losing all of our best sale people who don't want to spend all of their time apologizing for missed delivery windows and not being able to order pieces for customers.
