Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Omsbudsman

How is working for an omsbudsman beneficial? And how is it not beneficial?

Does anyone feel like some of them use coercion or influence toxic behavior to gain control? Does anyone know an omsbudsman that they respect and trust.

Just need some perspective.

Nothing is anonymous unless you are raising an issue in someone else’s behalf. And let’s face it, no one is going to stick their neck out for someone else.
It’s just not worth it, and that’s what poison is counting on.

Is harassment and retaliation the means to avoiding these lawsuits? Not sure I’m understanding.

At the end of the day, Baker Hughes is trying to avoid a law suit for discrimination, HSE, or whatever else you can think of.

I would work somewhere else if I were in it for the money. And I would do something way more exciting.

If you want "perspective" just FOLLOW THE MONEY. It will help you reach the logical conclusion every time.

Omsbudsman work for the company, but that is a secondary title. They are almost always people leaders. Your boss could be one and you don’t know it.

If you want feedback, you will have to give your name. Nothing is private, no matter what they say. Remember BKR is paying them monies to collect data, not you.

Not sure if I’m understanding, but an Ombudsman at BKR is through a 3rd party isn’t it. A safe space to vent concerns?

Good - unbiased

Bad - they relay the info back to the biased HR partner you were trying to avoid from the start.
