Looking for a job becomes a real job in itself. I have a lot of experience, but I still can’t get rid of State Farm. I was advised to try in some way to differentiate myself from other applicants, which should supposedly bring me more chances. I certainly always try this, but obviously others apply it much more successfully. Either that or the job hunting in this industry is increasingly reduced to whom you know, instead of how much you know.

Too funny! Comments from people who don't know how to fish, hunt, or bring their food to the table. They think it all comes to the grocery store in packages. Too jealous of the backwards hat forgotten ones. Pure elite attitude on display. The day a person thinks another is stupid is non inclusive anarchist behavior. THAT'S A GOOD NEIGHBOR?

Networking aka "who you know" has always been the leverage in many successful job offers. To set yourself apart, you can network more to get better exposure having the validation from someone that is already working with the company. Try to target jobs where your skills best match where you will be an ideal candidate on paper, then there is the interviewing performance which you have to sell yourself to elaborate how you are a qualified and unique candidate with various skills to offer.
Let them know you like to attend meetings, take many breaks including a 1-2 hour lunch, have a 4 day work week, walk a lot to make you look busy, and wear short dresses and low cut tops.
If you gotta ask, you don’t have what it takes.
Weird. Maybe let them know that you stayed until 3 oclock versus heading home at 1:00
