I dont know texas well enough to put a claim on any store that might close but if i had to gess then i believe that macys at almeda mall might close just looking at photos and reviews on google and macys past store closure list and the type of stores they have shut down this one fits on that list it's a neighborhood store for sure it's messy which could mean it's under staffed and in a lower middle market that can't afford a macy's priced life style in this new recession

Yes Oakland mall is the dumpster for metro Detroit!!!!!!!!!!! It should close and give buyouts!

Oakland just eats the returns from Somerset. I agree it's no Trophy store for sure. I wonder what life it has left.

thank you for the information i thought about posting those locations in a grade system for all 14 michigan stores but just wasn't sure any one cared and i'm still trying to correctly grade all stores on whats available to the public

The neighborhood stores in Michigan are Genesee Valley, Fashion Square in Saginaw, and Grand Traverse Mall in Traverse City. These will be the stores likely to close. I believe Oakland Mall does reasonably well, though it is not a trophy asset. Macy's typically closes stores after the Holliday season so we will hopefully be waiting for some time.

i did a review of all macys locations in michigan and believe that macys at genesee valley mall in flint will close soon and a semi historic 1968 suburban branch store from the long gone hudsons company of detriot at oakland mall in troy which also has a grade A macys in the same city will close soon it's just to aged and unkept to be a part of macys new strategy

what is a neighborhood store anyway? like the local mall store?

If your store was classified as a "neighborhood" store, than there's good chance it will close in the next two years.
