Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Who is willing to join Accenture?

I'm always surprised when I see new people have joined the company. And these are not recent college grads who are willing to take on anything , but experienced folks. I honestly thought that our reputation was so bad by now that nobody worth his or her salt would be willing to join.

Accenture is deceit and corrupt technocrats. Ruined Illinois. Don’t be fooled.

Accenture was never about pay - if you want money do not come to work for us.

However, if you'd like to learn methodologies and management, this is a good place to be. If you want to grow and advance, it'll be hard but you will advance. You can make a manager in 4 or 5 years here, it's really really really hard to do it anywhere else.

But, be prepared to work 4 or 5 years of constant overtime and tons of uncertainity and stress.

The worst parts about joining as an experienced hire are that you will be placed at a lower rank in many cases and then you’ll be devalued as the young pups hired after college get promoted around you. Do not join this company, especially as an experienced hire. The satanic mills comparison is apt.

It's called Boomerang, and it's for better pay than if you spent 10 years in the same place. I doubt they'll stay for long.
Also, notice for some locality and domain, there is no way to avoid Accidenture. One example is SAP, hard to do if the majority of big companies are serviced by them. In some domain, they have used cash to buy out and k–led the competition so that they get pricing power.
Make no mistake, Accidenture is what was called satanic mills back in history. You will lose your body and soul if you stay too long.
