Do you think our raises were in lieu of layoffs? Possibly earnings came off our backs to pay Wall Street?
Business results are looking really good this year and I’ve been pumped. Right up until I saw what my raise is. It’s been so demotivating. I’m trying to justify the low raise.
The whole layoff thing is a farse. Pepsi wanted to save some cash by dumping those who cost more per capita. Older employees with long service records were prime targets. Restructuring was just an excuse to justify unethical behaviour. It’s not foresight, it’s just greed. Now it is all grim reapers saying the big one is coming but it never shows up.
Don't forget how much our company pledged to groups as part of their social justice send 10 emails a day bragging about it programs. Take 1/2 to 1% of a raise from a couple hundred thousand people and 750 million is no big deal.
PepsiCo is nothing more than a total BS junk food company. Rubbish products rubbish management all the way to the top. PepsiCo Way my arse full of sh–

Not sure, because layoffs hit hard this year anyway, they announced some a couple weeks ago.
