Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

What does this company invest in its employees?

When I talk to people who used to work here a long time ago, they are all pretty united in the opinion that the company has invested a lot in its people.

It is obvious that they are not investing now, because there is always someone who will do the work for peanuts and be satisfied. It’s so sad.

I don’t know if that will change, but I would like them to one day think a little more about those on whom the whole business rests - their employees.

You cannot use sick time without loa and u have to get people lead to put it in for you. If you leave the company than they don't pay you out for sick or personal time that you accrued and they froze.

Previously accrued Sick and Personal time should be “grandfathered.” Speak to your HR manager. Only going forward would all be accrued as PTO, but no loss of previously earned.

If you still have profit sharing as a benefit it’s one of the most attractive benefits. In today’s corporate world, no such thing.

Yes, Walmart made huge profit during CHINA virus outbreak. They got to stay open while others had to close. They also cut staff during this time which gave them even more money. We have 2 cashiers the entire day. Hopefully they won’t mandate the CHINA virus vaccine because I’m not getting it. You can still catch Covid and who knows long yearn side effects. No thanks.

They invest a life insurance policy against you for 50000 dollars. If you die they keep 25000 and give your family 25000. With all the China virus deaths, walmart and sams are rolling in the covid cash.

You earned sick and personal hours then they change it over to PTO but make sure you can't actually touch or give you your hours from before PTO.

I can list a number of things that they have taken from their associates for 20 years. A new associate of course wouldn’t be able to comment, how would they know the difference?!
