Is it easy to get rehired at Macy's? I am thinking of leaving in a month or two to focus on schooling and was wondering if it is hard to get rehired?

can you get rehired if terminated for "violence"? according to macys.
Do you have a pulse ? Than yes you will get rehired—>CLASSIC !
As long as you have open availability on weekends, you're good.

For the person asking about applying back if you received a severance package. After 90 days you can reapply for any position at Macy's.
The short answer to your question, it's fairly easy to get rehired as long as you didn't leave in bad terms.
I was offered a severance package not long after we reopened, my position was eliminated, but stayed and took a different position because the job market was not good at the time. One person I know took the severance package and was able to collect unemployment. She probably came out better than me in the short run because she was making more sitting at home collecting unemployment, compared to what she was making at Macy's. She was also saving on gas, food and any other expenses related to commuting to work. Eventually she reapplied during the holidays and was hired back at Macy's, although at a different position and just as a seasonal. She did stay after the holidays.
Had I knowkn how easy it was to get rehired, I would had taken my severance package and just stayed home relaxing for a few more months and collecting unemployment. Although I doubt I would had been rehired at the same rate I'm making now. So in the long run I came out better.
If you were laid off back in June and received severance, what are the rules about applying for an open position and potentially come back?
If you left on good terms, it's easy to come back later.
