This is so funny it makes me want to cry. Our team as it is from the Jan 26th round of layoffs is so understaffed it’s crazy and people are starting to get stressed. Add on top of that the completely arbitrary money savings that we were told to find and add on top of that all the integration mess, and add on top of that ongoing layoffs next week and for the rest of the year it is a recipe for a whole lot of stress leave and mental health issues. Good thing we have the benefits to cover visits to psychologists so they can tell us to leave this unhealthy atmosphere.
The only comfort I have is knowing all my hard work will enrich our leadership to the tune of $30 million dollars in retention bonuses. And we get.....
To maybe, maybe keep our jobs. Seems fair I guess. If you’re sitting at the top and looking down.
Right now there is zero and I mean zero incentive for me to make sure this integration goes ahead smoothly or that I find any savings. In fact we all know there are very little synergies and areas of overlap other than employees and real estate. We are the savings.
A bit of a rant but I’m really enjoying the idea of sitting down and waiting for a phone call while knowing the CLT are all going to make a huge pocket full of cash off our misery and stress.
