Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

2021 RIF vs 2020 RIF

Someone posted before with information talking about the Aeon puzzle test used as smokescreen to fire senior
Employees. That appears all true but I understand the exec board and HR ran everything through legal because that’s how they support their employees, seeing them as adversarial.

Is the talk of 2021 RIF without severance concrete?

This is OP thank you fellow Allstaters for posts. My peers I work with are one of very few reasons to keep working here. Part of me wants to be impacted so I can blow this test people have talked about the first time and move on from this job because its k–ling me. I appreciate the information.

You know what they'll do if it fits their agenda. Update the HR guide about a week before announcing the first round of cuts. All it takes is a scummy corporate lawyer with a pen to change the game.

Go check the HR policy guide on Talent Connect. Until it changes then same as 2020.

Look at your sign on package if you still have it. I was impacted in 2020 first round layoffs and my package stated that I would get two weeks for every year. Id been there three years. I’d be surprised if they can pull that off the table. But then again it’s Allstate.

No one knows, and if they tell you they are lying or trolling, Allstate keeps everyone in the dark until the last minute

It has been reported pretty widespread here, other boards, through water cooler talk, and by contacts and persons in home office that 2021 severance will be paid for impacted employees with 5+ years of tenure at same rate as 2020. Less than 5 years tenured employees will be placed in areas and roles of need (most likely unlicensed customer service or agency services of some sort) at same or close to pay where they can. Severance will not be paid out for less than 5 years tenure. Again this is what has been said but through more than a few channels outside of just this site.
