I’m new to BBBY and need to move to a new city soon, so I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with changing locations?
Is it even possible for me to switch from the store where I am now to the store in the city where I am moving?
I apologize if it might be a stupid question, but I have no experience, this is my first job and any advice would be welcome.
If you’re really new they won’t care about your need to transfer. You might as well put your two weeks in.
I've been with the company for 9 years so I can't speak to how it is now, but i was with the company for almost 6 months (full time for 2) when I moved out of state and transferred. I had to drop back down to part time since there is only a certain amount of full timers allowed in a store. At first my SM tried to work through HR to get the transfer done, but they were taking forever. So he just had me call the manager at the store I wanted to transfer to and by the end of the following week, I had a schedule.
Not saying this is how it will be, just my experience.
It's a simple process if you are PT, but if FT then pretty much impossible. Stores are always looking for good people and if your work warrants it, the SM or HR group will work with you.
How new is new? Tbh if you just started it doesnt look good if you sre already moving..stores may think you will do it again to them
