Why do the people in HR keep torturing people with anxiety and fear?
If there are more layoffs to do, just do them. The longer you wait, the more PTSD you are causing in people.

I think its a matter of making sure any layoffs are done in a manner that reduces risk and liability on behalf of the employer. Caring about your soon to be laid off staff is not their primary, secondary, or tertiary concern. Mental health only matters when you advertise about it or post about it on LInkedIn.
