Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

My take on this "Town Hall".....

Pretty much out if the 2020 playbook. Zero transparency, zero integrity of the matter at hand (elephant in the room), and a whole lot of ego.

However some things I did take from it:

1) They did not outright deny layoffs like they did spring of 2020. They played that card most poorly last year.

2) Pretty much their position was you WILL do the extra work, you will not be further compensated, and you will like it.

3) In line with #2 while not stated as such it was vaguely applied that if you can't and won't do what is demanded then they have people that will. coughIndiacough

4) This to me was actually worse than Wilson's spring 2020 town hall. Just as little if not more lack of transparency and there was an air of arrogance about it which really hit me in the face. Obviously scripted with no intentions of providing answers to or addressing actual questions.

That town hall showed how far the integrity and status of this company has fallen in the last 9-12 months alone.

I actually have a further lack of confidence of the leadership of this company than I already had. These "leaders" have not a clue what they are doing. This company is beyond the point of no return.

Quite an inspiring senior leadership team wouldn't you agree? They showed little courage and bowed to GS pressure to cut critical staff for TG. Turnover has accelerated and claims has upwards of 200 open roles. Shortsighted leadership from so many perspectives. Riding the pandemic profit wave but still losing market share. Pivotal quarter coming to close. Will we grow auto policies?

Someone needs to look into InfoSys (India) and their partnership and owners and affiliations with China and data selling sharing and HR data

I didn't get an email either, so I missed the townhall. Glad to know I didn't miss anything of importance.

I wonder why I didn’t get an email to join this town hall like others. Was it for all departments?

I’m in underwriting
