Employee Morale

Not trying to bust people here....but employee morale is LOW right now! Many Full time employees are basically shaking wondering if their job is on the line. And as for the Part time teenagers....we are getting constant call outs and kids on their phones more than they are actually working!!

So what can we do about this?? At a former job of mine you would be FIRED for being on the phone. We also had a point system for too many call outs. We simply don’t care and the kids show it! (Ex: One rolled her eyes at me today when I asked her to get a phone call while I took a curbside order!)

As long as your store isn’t closing, it really comes down to each person’s decision to be positive and supportive. It stinks to have Debbie Downers as coworkers but I’ve found those people zip it once they realize you won’t whine with them. Hope the atmosphere lightens at your store soon!

The question was. Should the full timers worry about there jobs? The answer is yes. As for the part timers, this is the direction the company is going in just like all the other businesses that have closed and those that are on the verge of closing. Anything to save a buck.

Morale is usually low when the employees are all whiners!!!!

We started filming Tiktok videos of us dancing at work, like the nurses did. Really helped morale.

I thought they outlawed the use of phones on salesfloors over a year ago?

The supervisors in my store walk around the sales floor talking on the phone. Nobody in our store takes anything seriously including the SM. Haven't had a huddle in months.
