I'm getting tired of hearing people lament about the loss of job security at State Farm. First of all, there was never anything resembling job security at State Farm. Whoever tells you differently has his or her rose-tinted glasses on. Second of all, thera are very few if any companies with job security these days. It's actually up to you to create your job security by updating your skills and constantly learning new things. When you know that you can work anywhere, you have job security. It's as simple as that.

OP! I call BS! I remember when a claim manager from Rhonert Park stood in the Almaden office and bragged about job security! Must be another corporate Kool Aid boy with 15 years in and knows it all. Another college degree that can't tie his shoes.
Retire from State Farm used to be the norm. Total fantasy. Rosy rearview is what happened here.
The average stay of a SF employee is 3.6 years. Way far from retirement. One of the lowest of the Fortune 500. Kodak shames all of them at 26+ years.
Wrong, prior to 2014-15, one could expect to retire from SF. Now, not near as likely.
Dont fall for this garbage. It is a ploy to get people to train/work while lowballing the pay. Dont you get it, you work for an insurance company.
Unless your last name is Tipsord or Monk
Then why was I guaranteed job security only to be let down?
My sarcasm radar is not too good but wanna say you had us in the first half
It's all about power and control for elites. They think they have control over you but that will never happen because we have freewill and liberty. One of these days, they will come to their senses and respect the ones who make their machine work!
