Check your benies manual...there is severance pay based on years of service and even extra pension bump in certain long service situations...irregardless of early retirement offer. That's how it works for me anyway. All I need is a layoff. But I think they are taking a "wait them out" approach now for long timers so they don't have to pay severance.

It was the All Hands call this week. The one for, ya know, all hands. The email showed several "red" categories. find a recording, especially if you think the results are good. Companies play with stats too.
Posted this as something helpful to those that don't bother to join these calls. Don't shoot the messenger. I'm in the trenches next to you. If you don't care, then why are you replying or trolling this forum? Unless you HR that is.
They are offering individual convos and remember your login to the survey was your employee ID. If HR is reading this or the one who posted one if these replies, you guys need ter rethink yer strategies. "Make it believable." Too funny.

The surveys are "bundled" together for manager review, but anonymous as to individual contributor. Of course, corporate will always pull out one or two high points and focus on those - like perceived improvement in inclusion - as opposed to the rest of the carnage on the survey, which IMO was extensive.
The bigger surprise to me other than the 40 USCAN layoffs was the fact that this was advertised as part of "our corporate strategy". Although I appreciate the transparency, I'm not sure that was smart to verbalize to your employees. I guess if you can't add value in another way its easy to whack headcount.
Stock price continues to rise so it appears GE is firing on all cylinders with this approach. Just a matter of time before the grim reaper is knocking on my door. And the days of the VRIP's /early retirement options are long gone, wishful thinking my friend.

I did not hear of layoffs, im still believing they will offer retirement packages as further reduction is determined (they offer it every year).

Who announced and where? Give more details to make it more believable. The survey was anonymous, so no way that they will disclose individual's ratings. However, they may talk to respective teams in groups to understand why the team rated the way they did. I thought the results were positive at least based on Kieran's email?
