Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

3rd Party

What a joke Third Party Delivery is. We bust our a– to help the customers in the stores and THIS is what you want to leave as the last impression in the customer’s home? It’s a catastrophe. I refuse to take delivery complaints. I forward them to “management”.

Just wait until they do the flat bed delivery. Was offered a job by the 3rd party company supervisor that does our box trucks. Said that they were going to be taking over the flat this summer.

It’s horrible. I don’t think they’ve gone 3 consecutive days without damaging either an appliance or something else in a customers home in the year we’ve had 3rd party.

Ask SM at elmira 0530 how 3rd party is working out. I see and hear it's a cluster. SOB deserves it though. mo–n.

Lowe’s delivery service at one time was unique and differentiated the company from its competitors. And it was a competitive advantage for the company. What is happening now is very sad to watch.

We tend to be fairly even at our store they start off with a bad experience walking in the front door when no help and they have to load everything themselves should have brought your son with you .generally by the time it gets to the delivery there already upset anyway. When all the issues are bad what's one more

A real cluster——! This is all to save on paying a Lowe’s employee a decent wage and benefits? You keep this up,corporate, the word is getting out that Lowe’s s—s when it comes to delivery. It’s like giving the customer an ice cream Sunday with a dog t–d on top. Unbelievable!

And the really sad part is that it doesn't seem to get any better with time. My store is located in what I have been told to be the largest 3rd party/XDT market (Florida) and we have been dealing with delivery issues for well over a year now. Many of the 3rd party crews flat out refuse to remove refrigerator doors in order to get it into the house. Many will attempt to "butterfly" a refrigerator by opening the doors an attempting to pivot it through a smaller opening. Often ends poorly for the refrigerator and their standard statement to the customer is to "call Lowe's". If the water shutoff valve for refrigerator is not within the refrigerator alcove area then the customer will have to shutoff, disconnect/reconnect themselves (try telling that to an elderly or non-mechanically inclined customer and wait for their response). Don't even get me started on trying to get them to reverse door swings (top-mounts, bottom-mounts and clothes dryers), or successfully installing ice makers. Some crews can't even successfully install a laundry pedestal. Had one crew actually tell a customer that they could not reverse the door swing on a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer because they would have to REPROGRAM THE MOTHERBOARD! I have lost count (easily over a hundred at this point and that is just me personally) of how many retrips, XDT exchange requests and AR accounts I have had to setup to correct their ineptness.

The most perplexing thing to me is WHY DOES LOWE'S CONTINUE TO TOLERATE THEIR INEPTNESS? If any Lowe's employee was performing this poorly they would have been fired ten times over by this point yet Lowe's just continues to press on like nothing is happening. And yes, sadly this is the last impression that our valued customers have of their Lowe's experience and often times it is NOT favorable.
