Who else is sick and tired of everybody and their mother telling them to "be happy to have a job" whenever they dare complain about their job?? Every single time! Yes, I know there's a pandemic. And yes, I know millions have been laid off! However, the bad things that happened to them don't cancel the bad things that happen to me and others everyday at work in this company. This is not a competition of who has it worse. This just annoys the heck out of me.

"If you think that L3 will go out of their way to keep someone, think again. It's all about the bottom line. They are hiring temps (even from people who worked in retail and fast food) whenever possible just because they can work for cheap."
Absolutely correct. I watched Grand Rapids hire new people in a certain department, with several of them having nothing but low-level retail jobs on their spotty resumes. It made a certain supervisor feel superior so she hired at the shallow end.
"Always easier to find a new gig while you are still working."
Absolutely a falsehood, especially now. If you have solid skills and education, and can fit well with a new organization, they'll hire you. Period.

The executive team gets their bonus and that's all that matters at L3.
"Back to work, you!"

The phrase 'be happy you have a job' has been a mantra for over the past 100 years said by people who wish to do nothing more than undervalue someone else.
It's an excuse to pay someone a lower wage, treat them as they should not be treated and expect them to tolerate unsafe working conditions.
Think before you speak. Your ignorance is showing.
Yes, be happy you have a job.
Always easier to find a new gig while you are still working.
Stop whining, you're lucky to have a job!
