My nephew was fired due to Covid. His father was in the hospital with Covid and released to go home and recover. His father lives on his own. My nephew had 50+ hours of personal time saved up and requested leave to take care of his dad. It was denied. He went and took care of his dad anyway since there was no one else to take care of him. As soon as he returned to work at Walmart, he was fired. He had just reached his 3 year anniversary with them. Thankfully he got another job right away. Walmart really does s—.

This is another total BS post. Walmart almost always grants FMLA leave requests, it’s their policy. If he would have done a COVID leave with Sedgwick, they are always approved, as well. This is just someone trying to start some spiff.
Hard to believe he was fired for Covid . I see he was fired for attendance since he was denied time off . If he left after they denied the time off he knew it what’s going to happen . So why he came back . He didn’t do the proper paper work to get approved.

More to the story than stated. Sedgwick does loa and you can’t fire that easily unless he didn’t call out and/or fill out documents.
