Thread regarding Nordstrom layoffs

20 Billion by 2020

Anyone remember Nordstrom striving for 20 Billion by 2020? (was suppose to be lead by both NYC stores) covid or not they would have fell massively short. Covid just increase the distance from 5 to 10 Billion

I heard the Hautelook hot air stories, too good to have been true. Nordy was blowing like a wind sock, changes direction every hour

Hautelook helped them blow over $1B is about all I can tell... my director said we were going to reap tons of knowledge from their online model but I never saw it.

Logistically hautelook has been a disaster. Hence why they are combined it with rack.com. So I’m not sure what it really did for them.

Yeah, and apparently they believed all their own hype and look where it got them. I also remember Blake pleading with people not to leave and how Hautelook was going to teach n.com how to really be an internet retailer and rake in the dough. But then Jamie said, "shipping is hard..."
