I'm still perplexed how our store manager makes $120,000 a year for doing NOTHING. And I mean NOTHING!! The only time he/she gets up is for coffee and donuts.
I got a little hint over a year ago that I needed to leave. I did. Not because of the hint but because I was sick of working for people that didn't appreciate my service any longer. I was a top producer and they started to take me for granted. I gave them all I could for many years and ended up feeling like I meant nothing to them. Best thing I ever did was get out of there.
Belk was never “high end” but it was a nice mid range department store up until about ten years ago when things started going down hill. Then Syco got a hold of it, now it’s no better than Ross Dress For Less.
