We got the short end of the stick. Husky employees got decimated, you barely felt these layoffs compared to us. You should consider yourself lucky. I think we just got a proper preview of how things are going to be in the future. It is not hard to determine who's going to get screwed over more.

I see a lot of incompetent, inexperienced Cenovus people being kept or promoted, and good Husky people laid off. That’s planting the seeds of bitterness and revenge that will sprout in 1, 2 or 3 years.... A time bomb that AP does not care about, as he’ll be gone by then. Not a bright future for this sh–hole the company has become...
Some of you are talking as though they're done laying people off...this first round was them just getting warmed up.
Anyone left behind is p-ss-d off their in the same terrible situation... or they're the totally arrogant id–ts that sank husky in the first place. There's a reason one company bought the other.
Good example is the Cold/EOR team... getting almost no budget in 2021 yet completely over staffed with only Husky people. They could’ve cut 50% more from that team and not seen any impact.
Wish we were cutting more Husky folks, our groups are being flooded with a ton of people even after the cuts. Not enough work to go around. Look for more layoffs in 2-3 years.
Husky was bought plain and simple. Think what would have happened if CNRL bought Husky. If CVE acted like CNRL, Husky would have been decimated and there would have been zero layoffs at CVE.
Do a quick ratio of employees per really anything - production... throughput.. revenue... profit... market cap...
Then re think what you just posted.
👏👏 couldn't be said better was a go no where job what was possible for a promotion wasn't worth having if you had to sell your soul like the mangers did to get it , I'm better off not working there anymore and got a decent package to boot , just hope moral turns around for everyone left wasn't the nicest atmosphere in the office for a few years now
ride it out if you can and use the time to plan something better. The last time I checked neither Husky or Cenovus owned my future.
