Anyone hear the Beth Rizcko talk today where she responded to a question by admitting that, yes, there will be staff reductions in personal lines in 2021? Anyone have any idea what departments and offices will be affected?

I've hear that major cuts are coming in Finance in early 2022.
The company is not in “big financial trouble” but they want a bigger piece of the pie than they’ve got. If they need to let people go to do that they certainly will.
I too heard about a 20% reduction. This included commercial - especially those not already in Columbus or Des Moines.
They've already decimated IT. It's to the point now where I'm not going to wait for the other shoe to drop. This company is evidently in big financial trouble.
Layoffs will probably start next week (mid Feb 2021)... personal lines on the P&C side and IT are the areas I think are going to be hit (don't know any specific groups for sure)
I know that P&C is watching everything especially across all of the service centers. They are going to end up automating all of the people out of the company. Plus, there is nowhere for anyone to move to unless you have extensive experience and can break through the ATS and recruiter screening. I ended up having to leave and could not take it anymore. I had a new job with better pay and hours within days of starting my job search. So, just know that if you have some skills and can market them, you can jump ship and find something else out there.
Nothing like job security
I’m not sure even top brass completely know where it’s coming from yet. But overall they need to cut a very large number out of operating expenses. Expect the total workforce to come down somewhere in the realm of 20%.
