Money’d up (credit), contracts renegotiated and far less debt, commodity market looking good and why lay off? Have to drill some more (way more than now) and everything that follows. Now is not the time to lay off, it’s time to make hole, get some pipe in the ground and get that product flowing. CHK needs more cash flow ASAP. Stop worrying. Get to work.

I been in the oilfield longer than most CHKer’s been out of diapers, and I’ve never seen so many people whining about getting a steady paycheck. Keep your head low and a– high. There are way too many good folks out of work to complain about your job. Chances are, there is someone willing to do a better job for less money, and complain less. Yes sir Chesapeake is a good place to work, just as any other good paying job. You don’t have to like it, but you don’t have to stay neither. Let someone more grateful get paid instead of you.
Stay Tough Fight the Unacceptable
Maybe you got down votes for attaching STFU to your posts.
I post something positive about the company and it gets downvotes. It’s almost as if some of the employees want CHK to fail. You’re all addicted to drama, rumors and negative news. It excites you. What a pack of losers. Your employer is in better shape than ever and oil is in the 50’s, and you all want severance packages. Maybe you’re part of the reason CHK has choked in the past several years.
Either that, or it’s a bunch of ex-employees that check this site every day and dislike anything positive for their former employer.
I’m betting both. If you don’t like a challenge and good pay, GTFO. You deserve to be sitting at the house.
