With all the talk about massive cuts I am getting worried. If you get terminated, do you leave right away? Do you still work for a few weeks?

After 30 years I was given zero notice. I was invited to a staged meeting and let go by people who had no idea what my job was or what my team even did. I was stripped of all my Pepsi property and escorted to my car by a complete stranger. Not even a text from anyone thanking me for 30 years of dedicated service. After I was terminated PepsiCo said that they thought I wanted to retire. Seriously ????
Depends. Are they replacing you with some outsourced robot? If so you will have to train it to do your job first.

I came in one morning, had an email and voicemail saying I had an appointment with HR at 10:00. It was obvious what was up with all the rumors. I went to the appointment in a conference room, our VP and an HR guy were sitting there, they read from a script about how I was being impacted by a reorg. It was all hurry, hurry, hurry, they wanted to spend as little time as possible doing this. They just went through my package real quick and then when we were done, I slid my badge and laptop across the table, the door to the conference room was opened, and some fat old bitter HR guy was standing there who was assigned to walk me out of the building on the fabled "walk of shame". He was nice enough but did nothing but bxtch about how he hated Pepsico during our walk to the front door. So I went out the door for the last time and WAS SO HAPPY TO BE OUT OF THAT TOXIC PLACE ! That day was one of my best days at Pepsico ! It ended being a financial bonanza for me ! I got a job in 2 months paying me the same I made at the Pepsico Career Hospice, while Pepsico was still paying for another year with my package. Don't worry about any of this, it's the start of a whole new wonderful chapter of your life and career !
My friend was notified late August and her last day was 12/20. I think they give you 90 days to clean accounts, return laptop, etc.......
They will stick you in a closet, take your stapler and stop paying you
Normally when terminated they feel you will not give 100% to the company. So your done !
