My organization is going through an audit. Is there anything I should be cautious or know about?

Politics 101. ALWAYS blame the person or Administration that came before you. /s
Actually, as a former auditor, just don't lie or throw out a guess when asked a question. If you don't know something, admit it and direct them to someone who might be able to help. It's not a pop quiz to see how much you know.
Solved: Just blame all gaps and faults to those who were PIPd, laidoff, or force retire. It ain't your fault.
Like NOT asking for audit advice on a public internet forum.
Say as little as possible if they talk to you. Only answer the question in as few of words as possible.
Been through a bunch. Audit’s job is to find stuff that ends up in a lengthy report to management. 95% of their “findings” will either be nuisance items that the team didn’t complete because they were of low value, or important issues that the team is actively addressing but has not yet resolved. No surprises unless there is some useless little known requirement that the team missed but doesn’t matter. Never had any trouble addressing all findings with a response that satisfied management. It’s a game. Be kind and professional, don’t let them get under your skin, don’t offer up info that is not requested, and never lie. A pain but seldom more than a waste of team’s time.
Doing nothing is fine at XOM, doing the wrong thing according to audit is the end of you. Never seen chickens running with their heads cut off like managers do during an audit. Process always trumps product.
What is UIT?
If OP is super oily, they’ll be fine. Just slide on in!
Typical ExxonMobil mo–n. Instead of thinking of contributing to company or the society this robot is busy worrying about audit. This sums up ExxonMobil robots we see everywhere
Be afraid, be very afraid !
Audit is not your friend, so don’t treat them like one.
Auditors get ranked and can get bonuses on how much dirt they find.
Keep your answers short and as succinct as possible. The less you say the better.
Don’t lie if there is .0001 chance you could be caught in a lie.
Answer only what is asked.
It doesn't matter. If Dallas wants you gone, poof, nothing you can do.
Yes please be careful.
Yeah, don't call sick, don't take off, make sure you are there all the time. They will invent something to pin someone. If you are present and tailing them, you can blame it on someone who isn't there. That way you have an opportunity to save yourself.
Indeed! Watch your back. The lead for that audit will find something to sink you. How do you think she got to her new position. Now somebody please give her a hairbrush! I think I saw a rat come out of that nest.
