GreaT idea all retailers are using! I don’t know how our guest with function! They can’t even get their coupons together with the cashiers present! Should be fun to watch! I think it’s great the company is finally making changes! I think in time they’ll get it together.

Sure!
Coupon adjustments.
Returns.
Email capture.
Just push the key!!!!
Genius!
Fire any receivers lately cause who needs a receiver with 60+ pallet weeks.
Keep cramming part timers into the building so full timers can be let go.
How many candles arrived smashed over the holidays?
How many of the people making the decisions have worked a single day on the floor in the last year?

This is hilarious! BBB has the most antiquated technology in all of retail! Now they are going to try self-service registers? Then never could keep the existing POS system operating normally! I hope these self-service registers come with OUT OF SERVICE signs to put on them. I'm sure the new Help Desk in India will be able to help LOL.

Our registers constantly go down..pos sales dont come up, wont take any coupons, support cant help. Reason for that is simple. No training, no testing; just throw it out there and hope it works. We'll figure it out as we go. Poor planning at BBB.

Wow finally some real posts on this board lol.

Honestly I am surprised it took them this long to implement self checkouts. Though makes sense since a lot of the cashiers are left just standing around when we need all the help we can get on the floor with freight/CDS

I heard it was 3 to start but I’m pretty sure that most will be getting them within the next year or two.

The goal is to ultimately have one person as a cashier and an associate/supervisor to serve as a self scanner and curbside helper. So only two people up at registers at a time.

They don’t want to pay us. Especially when Biden raises the wage to $15. Fewer people....and more stockers and curbside/online freight. If you cannot do online orders or freight help or a manager you could be GONE within a year or 18 months!! That’s where this company is going!

Select market only not all stores. Varies on shrink number and sales. Beta rollout.

Northeast here and yes we have heard we’re getting self serve also!! My question is that our customer base can hardly get their coupons off their phone let alone perform self checkout!!! Hope they also replace all the registers because almost every day one or two go down!!!
