Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

I agree it's a wast of time, we count three times a day. Nobody does anything with the counts, if we are missing one we write 0 and nobody does anything with it. It's the most worthless program I've ever scene. Just busywork with no meaning.

Just had a customer bring back the BIG kobalt impact tool It was best to hell
And he wanted a new one. I explained that he needed to call kobalt and have a receipt that I could only replace it for first 30 days with a receipt.
Three days later he come back with receipt
Showing he bought it yesterday. Lowes management gave him a new one
Told me it does not cost store so just do it

I bought some roofing stuff at McCoys.
3 boxes and only used two boxes so I took one box back. Well box was scuffed on corner so manager said he could not take it back. I took him to shelf location and showed him my box was in better shape than his.
He took it back. Of course I had a receipt.

Lowes could tell these customers NO !!!

Ace Hardware is very picky about what they take back and they are doing a BOOMING

I just had 1600 dollars of tools stolen in one morning by two guys

One kept me busy cutting glass while other stole Dewalt combos.
Yes alarm went off and they laughed and just kept going.
One hour later I found the 4 pieces of glass were he left it.

Its because they don't wont to upset the thieves "Customers". Yes they consider thieves or even potential thieves customers. Im tired of us getting b–ched at every time annual inventory is here. They always say oh tools has a big loss of 30 to 70k this yr bla bla bla. We are also tired of area wide AP guys coming in and enforcing all of these stupid useless rules. Oh this has to be banded and turtled these have to be in top stock batteries have to be stored here ect. They just installed these flip up cage doors on the high theft items on the shelves. Basically you pull a pin and lift the gate open a doorbell chime sounds off. If three or more are lifted it sounds off an alarm and a blue flashing light. Our competitors' stores actually puts a damn lock on their cages. This is the stupidest company ive ever seen. Your department isn't giving these thieves good customer service. I'm like why am I going to kiss a thieves a–? Everyone in our department has said the heck with it we are tired of following these people around the store it does no good whatsoever. Besides Lowes, writes it off on taxes as business expense's. Until corporate grows some balls let them steal whatever they want.. I talked with one of our ASM's he said they aren't allowed to call the police or report anything. We cant chase them or intervene or we could get eliminated. He basically said everyones hands or tied just do the BS AP and Blue dot program and give thoses "customers" "Extra Special Care". Life is good right? Wrong. The company is full of it and smoke alot of rock.

I've always told our store manager to put Dewalt's out in parking lot. The thieves will never think about stealing them out there😂😂
