Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Any word on STI this year?

I know this is about layoffs, but any news on the amount?

Will the senior execs Chet 200% while most of the employees will be lucky to get 100% of target?

Agree with the last post about you have to go above and beyond to get 100% or more. They want to work u like a dog to get a few bucks, and if not, they just save it for themselves. This is not you low to mid level management either. It is JG 26 and above. Granted not all are like this, but for the few good ones left, their hands are tied by the crooks at the top

Focus on your family and yourself while you look for a real job at a real company

STI's are a joke. Especially in IT. You do your job well and you don't get 100%. You get less. In order to get 100%, you have to do more, take on more, etc. Where does it say in the fine print that to get 100% you have to expand your job? Then, if you expand your job you might get 100% or a bit more....but is it worth it? You won't get a promo. So you're stressing out and working tons of extra hours, doing more work ...for what? An extra $50 bucks in STI and no increase to base pay? It is twisted. Managers continually lie and spin the message to cover up for the blatant fraud.

AIG is a sh– company. Been 2 + years of a hard market and those bozos making 15 + million still can’t figure out how to make a consistent profit and grow the company. BD will walk away with 250 million plus in compensation and for the purchase of his company Hamilton Re and what did he besides lose money, rif thousands of employees, hire his friends and give them golden parachutes and shrink the stock price? I guess those are great metrics to pay him millions and promote PZ. Unbelievable

Anyone have an update other than they are giving earlier than last year or will it be a jelly of the month club type bonus?

Could be earlier for employee friendly reasons. On the other hand, they may be looking to speed up natural attrition to see who's left for riffing. Might also be looking to get all liabilities off the books sooner for the folks rolling to Accenture. Haven't heard much on that lately.

Whatever it is, it will come one month earlier. PZ announced today that it will be paid out at the end of February. You can read between the lines what that means. I have no idea.
