Well, looks like we have our new chief transformation officer. I don't know much about Bainee Michael Dumais but his job description, which includes as one of the main points cost cuts, is enough to have me worried. We all know that the easiest ways to cut costs is to cut employees. The next few months will not be fun.

What Raytheon location do you work at and are the having layoffs too? Is it due to the business unit mergers or the pandemic?

Looks like Hayes hired the Bob's... "What would you say... you do here"?

I got a call at 7.30am from HR yesterday that I'm done with Raytheon. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.
Just heard about 67 people laid off at Collins in CV today.
C'mon man. Everyone knows that military contractors waste money and resources out the wazoo. Every major contractor could get paid half the money and deliver the same slate of products in the same cost overunned and late timeframe.
"Nine months into the post-merger integration, and in light of the downturn and continued uncertainty in commercial aerospace, we see clear opportunities to further harness efficiencies and reduce redundancies across our operations to meet the challenges and capture the opportunities in front of us," said Hayes. "In this new role, Mike will lead company-wide initiatives to drive top-line growth and bottom-line cost reductions to deliver optimal value to stakeholders."
I love this speak that alludes to nothing. I have one for you... "Let's re-aling our organic resources so that eveything is synergistic accross all platforms.
Reduce redundancies== Any overlap between what UTC did and Raytheon will be merged (with layoffs) or eliminated (with layoffs).
"...capture the opportunities in front of us."== We only care about future large contracts for space and hypersonic applications. Everything else can go pound salt. We'll divest the other stuff to smaller companies that like table sc-aps like BAE.
