Numbers?

What is your function/group and if communicated what is percentage or # of individuals to be cut?

Looks like an IT new hire is scared about there job! I would agree a company this size has no reason to have this many new hires or that many in the IT functions. Most companies O&G companies operate with a 1/3 as many in IT.

@6wtw+195aJIIi since when did IT start bringing in 40 IT new hires to Bartlesville each year? You should check your facts. The number is much smaller and some IT new hires go to Bartlesville and some go to Houston.

Bartlesville needs to cut IT deep. Way way to many in IT. Bringing in 40 or so college new hires every year is excessive. We need some new hires but 5-10 should be the number. Finance is stretched in some groups. HR way to many people as well as REFS

Bville has more than their fair share of work coming down the pipe. They should hold on to as much help as they can, especially since there’s barely any interest or incentive for CXO employees to make the move. The recent conversion to Quorum was forced and ill-conceived. The lease maintenance group can look forward to cleaning that up when it gets converted a second time. The CXO VSP package cleaned house in accounting and division orders, so those teams have barely been able to keep their heads above water. The amount of clean up needed across all groups is astounding. The lucky people in Bville who get to work the CXO properties will have great job security for years to come. The SAP conversion by mid year is the cherry on top!

LOL at the ‘Bartlesville is zero because we’re mission critical’ comment. Hopefully that comment was a joke ..... but I can confirm with 100% confidence that that statement is false. Bartlesville will have their fair share of layoffs.

Surmont field staff announced 25 redundancies out of a 100 person reorganization. Fair to assume the rest of that BU will suffer a similar percentage. More to come from the captain.
