Nothing to do with Trumplicans. Thank goodness that four years is behind us. But can any legislator take on the destruction and pure demise of equity ownership in retail? This has been going on for far too long. Take a look at every retailer in your mall. Who is the parent company and stock symbol? Oh, that’s right. Private ownership by equity fund! No one knows? Should not be allowed, but the horse left the barn years ago. Now the fallout. The pandemic is a minor part of the problem.
