Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Target is hiring

A friend works there and I know they have it much, much better than we do in every aspect. She could put in a good word for me so the chances are I'd get a job. But still I'm hesitating. I'm scared of changing my job, being the last person in and if something happens being the first one out. Should I risk it?

You have to consider everything- pay, schedule, distance, job responsibilities and additional responsibilities, quality of people above you and/or under you. Know your priorities, what you can tolerate and what absolutely not. There will be “pros” and “cons”, it won’t be perfect.
“Being new” is short time challenge, don’t worry about that.
