Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

Live to work/work to live

I am still at Raymond and am looking to get out when it’s possible. The last round of layoffs has left a pit in my stomach that I just can’t shake. I used to enjoying working here. “It’s not work if you love what you do” used to be me in a nutshell. But now this company is just a means to an end, a way to pay bills. This company destroyed whatever positive feelings I had and I’m just biding my time to jump ship.

I was moved under Andy Zolper and ran like hell to another company.

The original post says it all. No more loyalty at RJ. Just a paycheck. How does that sound Paul? You going to send out a survey to see how loyal people are.

I worked at RJ to remember the old motto "work, work, play" when's the last time anyone heard that one. I know Tom James is semi retired but he should have stepped in and stopped this. How could Paul have done this and then announce record earnings and then buy 2 more companies. Great job Paul. How's that employee morale doing.

As an ex-RJ employee I can sympathize with you. Getting out in this climate will be difficult. I was one of the lucky 550 and I can tell you that it is tough out there right now. I was forced to sign up for early Social Security just to survive. thank you RJ.

If you are a financial advisor set up your own practice like I did and be your own boss. I love it.
