I just read an article on the record profits Walmart made during the pandemic but we got almost nothing out of it. I absolutely agree that the company could have quadrupled the COVID compensation to frontline workers. Any thoughts?
If anyone is interested, here is the article - https://www.brookings.edu/blog/the-avenue/2020/12/22/amazon-and-walmart-have-raked-in-billions-in-additional-profits-during-the-pandemic-and-shared-almost-none-of-it-with-their-workers/

They are sharing the profits with share holders, as it should be. They should raise the dividend payouts. A job has a value and that’s what it’s worth. No matter how much Walmart makes, sweeping floors, running a register, being a manager; they all have a value and that value is never based on how much the company makes.
Not surprised they made so much money. Small business had to be shut down yet big corporations got to stay open. Seriously thinking of leaving the company after almost 10 years. New schedule just came out and am cut an entire day and am full time. Walmart doesn’t value their employees we are just a number.
