Who will be back PART TIME?

No severance. just be part time or quit???
I just got off the phone with corporate HR. They told me to start meeting with fulltime employees who are working this week and offer them part time positions.
I asked how can I do this right after the holidays!? They told me just say, their full time position has been eliminated and we can only offer you a part time position, say that exactly that wayand move on.
This will be a hard couple of weeks...
