Holidays and unemployment - how to be happy?

This is the first year in my six years of work that I welcome the holidays with cramps in my stomach. I think that much better workers than me were fired, but there are also those who worked much less efficiently than me that remained. Although I'm glad that they kept their jobs I can't help but feel mistreated. I’m actively looking but still haven’t found a new job, so I have to be very careful how I spend my unemployment money and this year’s holidays are very bittersweet for me.
Some say that the dismissal was the best thing that could have happened to them, so I hope that some miracle will happen soon.

Remember when one door closes another door will open. Please believe. You’ll be ok.

I know a store where the SM kept the favorites and it’s crystal clear now that the better workers are not there—-it’s easier to see the favorites don’t do anything or really know anything whatsoever.
