Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

It’s not as easy as it looks

There are a lot of us who are looking for another job while still employed with this screwed up company. It is easier said than done. Retail workers by any industries standards are considered the same level as fast food workers. Thankfully, after 4 months of looking I found a position working in an office as an entry level clerk. It wasn’t easy, but it’s possible. For those wanting to get out, all I can say is keep trying. There are jobs out there, you just have to be persistent.

Barnes and Noble would not be a bad place to work if it weren’t for the management culture they ruin what should otherwise be a decent job

Corporate dictates the culture ( that’s acceptable) . The entire company is toxic.
