All those whose hours are being cut, be Very Cautious. Sounds like something is brewing. Make sure you are still getting any benefits that are due full time employees, and how long are they going to cut your hrs. Check your HR if there is one. I would be very suspicious. Good luck.

Some of us have asked about the only 24 hr thing a couple of times so far...over the last week ..The response was it is because of the inventory hrs are not been assigned yet . I thinking o k let’s go with that ,I hope their right ! ...Otherwise it will be a very interesting January!!!!

I’ve noticed that they’re only scheduling me 29 hours for the new weeks that have come out. I’m a 35-37 week full time employee but I’ve gotten no official notice.

That's the point! Saving money on benefits.

Hopefully they will offer full time employees a package if this is the case. If hours are going that low then it will be difficult to even cover health insurance.

Many of us will have to get a second job apparently as we couldn’t possibly live on this amount of income with only 24 hrs a week .Happy New Year 2021 ! Not a positive start ,where’s the magic in that ?

Yes it’s true as of now. The first two weeks that are released for January will be 24 hours for FT. They may pick up and additional shift. When Macy’s brought back everyone they told them there was not a guarantee for hours.

Sears tried this stunt with a group of us full-timers a few years ago. We told them no way and threatened to walk out. When we started for the doors they backed off. Stand up for yourselves and don't let them push you around.

It is possible. It’s happened at my store and we found something to post in the associate lounge informing them of this. I can’t remember the exact verbiage so hopefully I will remember to read it tomorrow and share it here.

My position that I have had for 6 years is called full time 28 hours. I usually work 35-40 but I’m only guaranteed 28 hours.

Full time with benefits cannot be reduced to less than 30hrs/wk? Occasionally 28, but must average 30 per week over two week payroll.
