For me it would be all the micromanaging. I’ve been here long enough and have the knowledge and experience to know what my job functions are, and then some! There is no need to constantly breathe down my neck to see if I’ve completed anything within a timely manner. Most times I have to ask for more to do.

Most managers that micromanage is just of way of covering their lack of talent.
Great managers who are talented give their sales associates room to breathe and create business their own way.
That’s true in retail or any other sales driven business.
That will never change.
i joined Neiman Marcus knowing I may have to leave at some point. There was very little movement especially in the merchant organization. People never left. But now I may have to leave because I'm not connected to our CEO in any way. It was time for a change but he brought in friends for every key position. Is it a coincidence that our chief merchant, head of stores, head of customer experience and head of online all worked with GVR before? All huge promotions too. Good for them but bad for us as they are still in over their heads. And the merchant experience we've lost... our chief merchant is nice but completely overwhelmed. Bless her heart. So if I could change one thing I would put RL, BCG or LV on my resume. And second - bring back Kory to get bring love to the online business.
Name one thing we would change? Is this some sort of joke? Just look at the posts. Trust starts at the top. It’s gone. How about a change in leadership?
