Allstate wanted us to get those inbound calls answered within minutes and sent out emails.. calls waiting. Too bad HR and homeoffice can’t gey their fat a– heads out if their asses and get our money to us that we worked hard for. Allstate just s—s!

Got mine 35 days after my last day. My last day was in October. Deposited on a Wednesday of all days. Federal tax was around 30 percent and 10% 401K was taken out.

Most likely they won’t pay until January for fiscal or tax purposes. Better to carry it into 2021. And they probably want you to go ahead and empty out that pension and 401k on the way out.

Haven’t received anything. They did send me a Bill less than a week after my term date requesting $70 back from the pay loan when they changed the pay schedule. They remembered the $70 they owe me right away, but take their time on the several thousand dollar severance check. Right before Christmas. Total POS company.

I can only speak for myself but my severance had 40.2% total withheld between the net on my package and what deposited into my bank account. Per my paystub I got in the mail two days after it was deposited of the 40.2% withheld it calculated out to 29.7% In federal taxes. Also my 5% 401k personal contribution which I didn't know they were still taking out of the severance. The remaining 5.5% was state of Ohio tax and city tax.

I’m curious for those who had over 22% taken out of severance are you in a state that has a separate income tax?

Receiving it in January might have tax benefits

Hit my bank account about 45 days after last day. They took almost half in taxes. Good people and family helped with food and vital bills. No Christmas for the kiddos though. :( Such a bad and poorly ran situation by this company.

My final day was 10/16/2020. Received highly taxed (40%) severance deposited Thanksgiving morning (yes, on Thanksgiving). So too me 5 weeks to receive. Some from my area received in 3 weeks and some a few weeks after I received. Seems to be no set schedule or reasoning in timing that makes sense since people in same impacted area with same last date all received at different times.

Based on what I know from other impacted people anywhere from 2-3 weeks after last date to right near the 60th day after final worked day. Per prior posts the area that handles severance were themselves impacted by the layoffs which led to delays and inconsistent distribution scheduling.

I was hoping we would be the lucky ones to get it within 10-14 days of our last day like some previous posts mentioned. Hoping for it before Christmas.

Nope. Just talked to HR (finally got through) and they have no idea and can't tell me anything lol

She said if it goes over 30 days from my term date without it being processed they have to issue it via check and we will receive it in the mail.

She straight up told me to expect worst case scenario of waiting 60 days.

Doesn’t it pay out 60 days from term?
